Small Bumps and Diarrhea

I have a 3.5 month old German Sheperd and for the past few days I have noticed small bumps under her armpits and scattered across her belly. They are not red, and she is not itching them, but they are raised and there are quite a few of them, especially under her arm. I didn't think too much of it since she wasn't itching, and because it's summertime and she is probably being bitten by bugs in the grass (she loves laying in the grass). Also, they haven't seemed to get worse.

The thing that worries me is that last night she started having slightly more liquidy poop, not quite all diarrhea, but definitely not hard and firm either. She goes a little more frequently than normal, but doesn't seem to be in any sort of pain.

Does anyone have some insight? I will be calling the vet about it if she is still having the same problems when I get home from work, I just want to know if anyone has had a similar experience.

Re: Small Bumps and Diarrhea

  • I didn't have experience with the bumps but monitor the poo and energy levels...my puppy has runny you-know-what but was not really bad like you described, not full fledged diarrhea...then she was lethargic...we called the vet and it turned out she had parvo. she was 4 months old.  some vets say ppl ignore the poo or lethargy b/c they assume its a transitional-stress thing for new puppies, monitor her and take her to vet asap.  good luck.
