Dog parks

Do you take your dog/dogs to a dog park in your area where you live at?

Re: Dog parks

  • I actually take my dog which is a female beagle named Molly to a dog park on a regular basis. She has been going to the same dog park since she was six months old. It's only fifteen minutes from our house which is convenient. Everyone has their days there where some days are better than others with the dogs having to get along and don't get along and it's the same for the owners. Molly loves being able to go up there not only to find all the good smells but to also socialize with other dogs and play. At the end of the time being there she is ready to go home and tuckered out.

  • I've had my bichon for about 4 years and I've been taking him to the dog park for that entire time - he loves it. It's a great place for him and he's exhausted at the end of the day.

My pekignese I adopted 2 years ago - she only started warming up to the dog park a year ago. She was an abused dog so the dog park was very alarming territory for her. She didn't want to play with the other dogs and followed my bichon around - when he started playing with others she followed my H and I around and wouldn't play at all. Now she loves it too - just took a year and some coaxing.

  • When the weather is not too hot we take our english bulldog to one of the three dog parks around here.      He loves the dog park.  We love it because it tires him out.

He is only 8 months old and have been going to them since he was 4 months old.

  • When the weather is not too hot I'll take my puppy Winston to the dog park. It's  10 minute drive from our house
  • dog parks are important for dogs. dogs may be provided an accommodation by these parks. these parks may be vital in case for walking or for running the dogs. the environment of parks may be useful for the dogs. at parks, the dogs may have fun and they can play also. i don't have any dog park near to my home.
  • Absolutely not. I hate dog parks. I care more about my dog's safety and would never take her to a park full of unknown dogs. Mine is not friendly to other dogs, so parks are a moot point anyway, but even if she were fine with other animals, I still wouldn't take her. I have no idea if other owners can control their dogs or know how to properly manage their animals, and when animals are off-leash, anything can happen, including death of a beloved pet (which I have seen happen - at a dog park.) I trust me because I've trained my dog and I know her and can control her. I have no such trust in others because too many people treat their dogs like human children instead of the animals that they are. There's a big difference that most people don't realize until it's too late.
