help me accessorize!

I bought a tea length red shimmery strapless dress to wear to a military ball next week.  Now I need some help with accessories! Pics would be greatly appreciated!

shoes: black? strappy sandal or closed toe?

jewely: i was thinking a multi-strand pearl necklace? Should I go with something with more bling?

Should I get a shawl or wrap? What kind?

If your dress is shimmery I would maybe not wear a necklace. Or something a little more simple instead maybe some cute chandelier earrings and a couple of complimenting bracelets.  For shoes I would go with something more formal such as a closed toe or even peep toe. You could even go with a cute silver or gold shoe instead of black. If you want to go with a shawl I would go with maybe a silver or gold Pashmina to compliment the shoes.

 I have this image in my head.  Not sure if I am giving it justice with words lol.

I would personally wear gold, nude, or silver heels.  Maybe even bronze depending on what type of red the dress is.  I agree with previous poster about wearing a larger earring and no necklace.

ETA: I should probably note that I can't see the photo of the dress at work.

If you want to maintain the formality of the dress, skip the wedges.  Black shoes would be very stark against the red.  Nude heels would be better--in dressing sandals or closed toes.  I don't like sandals but that is a personal preference.   I would skip a necklace and add a stack of thin bracelets on one arm, chandelier earrings and a clutch.  I would also add a wrap in case of too-much-air-conditioning which can plague many event halls.
