What are 2 things on your mind today? They can be good or bad or somewhere in between!
Re: Two Things Tuesday
1. We are having a pot luck at work today and I really hope my peach cake thing I made turned out good! I wasnt able to try it without an obvious piece missing from the pan.
2. DH and I decided to stay another night when we go to vegas in the begining of next month. I am super excited about it, its been way too long since just DH and I went to Vegas.
I'm bored. So bored. Bored bored bored.
Slowly resigning myself to the fact that the Disney addition to our trip is going to have to die.
How come? Cant you stay a day or two later after your cruise?
Amity - so glad you figured out a post for today. I was thinking early we needed something but couldn't think of a T thing for Tuesday. Yummy peach cake thingy. I love peaches. And I'm still loving fruit right now.
Mark - that's sad. Hopefully you can figure something out. I would love to visit any Disney place.
On my mind today:
1) My mom is having a full knee replacement in about two hours. I know it will vastly improve her quality of life. But last night on the phone she was being all "I love you no matter what happens. Please take care of your brother" and stuff. I kept reassuring her that she'd be fine and pull out of surgery great. But now I'm just thinking what if.
2) I might get to hear/see the sweet pea on Friday. I called my doctor today to clarify what will happen during my appointment since it's been rescheduled and I'll be a little farther along. She's going to try to listen for the heartbeat, and if we can't hear it, she'll do an ultrasound. YAY!
That would be so much fun! We bought plane tickets a few months ago to visit DH's sister for Christmas. She lives in Sacramento. I know it's more northern California but I mentioned to DH that we should take a side trip since we'll be there for a week. Well maybe, now that I'm preggers, we'll see if the doc will let me fly. I'll be 30 weeks. The list of directions she gave me last week said no flying after 28 weeks. So I'm hoping maybe, but if we can't, we'll have to pay that darn fee to reschedule the flights for sometime next year. Not going to lie that I didn't think about that one thing when we decided to go for it. Oh well, if anything, we'll use the tickets next fall and take baby with us.
1. My health
2. My career
Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.
1. We will have at least enough money to pay August's rent. The daycare has been giving me whole days off when I have interviews and sending me home after a half a day on others.
2. How will tomorrows interview go??? Will my search FINALLY be over???????????????
01.21.2012---> I married a redhead I'm crazy about.
04.2016: IT'S A BOY! Elias Alan is due!
WDW trips: 05/14 (1st trip! Art of Animation; Little Mermaid), 05/15 (Pop Century!). DL Trips: 12/15
$$$$
We have the days, but between the Bahams cruise, at least one trip to Thailand, and the Alaskian cruise, spending $600-700 for two days at Disney just doesn't pass the reason-ability test.
Yikes! 600-700 bucks? Where do you plan on staying?! DH and I stayed at the doubletree (on the resort property) and it was like 100 a night.
It's $352 just for tickets for two people for two days. $41 for the rental car from Miami to Orlando. We found the value resorts at Disney to be cheaper than anything off Disney so far. We did find a place called Shades of Green that you can stay at if you're affiliated with the military in certain ways. There's a discount, but you're still in the same ballpark. Haven't mentioned the need to eat.....:)
