If you've gone on a cruise
What itinerary?
What ship?
What excursions did you do?
Recommend, if not, where would you go instead, and would you do a cruise again, or stay at a resort instead?

Re: If you've gone on a cruise
I went several years ago, we cruised with Carnival. We went to Belize, the Panama Canal, and another place that's slipping my mind right now. We did a swim with the stingray excruision in Belize and that was amazing. We did a viewing tour of the Panama Canal, and that would have been better if it wasn't pouring. On the other place we did a tour through the rainforest. That was pretty cool.
Hubby and I are going for our delayed honeymoon with two other newlywed friends. We are cruising Carnival. We are going to the Bahamas. We are not doing excruisions because we are saving money and there is a lot to do on the islands.
I've done two cruises, they are fun, but I feel more relaxed at a resort. I don't know why, that's just me.
Oh but, I did the beach horseback riding on one of them, and it was really fun, so I'd recommend that if you've never done it!
I have been on several cruises and really enjoyed them. My favorite excursion hands down was swimming with the dolphins in Cozumel. It was wonderful!
We also enjoyed the Stingray excursion in Grand Cayman.
My favorite place that I have visited is Roatan Island, Honduras. So beautiful! Cozumel is fun for the day too. Lots of shopping.
If you have not been to the Caribbean, be prepared for the poverty. It is really heartbreaking. It is everywhere down there and can be overwhelming. I was not prepared the first time I was ever there (we flew into St. Thomas for a week).

We went on the carnival liberty for our HM to the caribbean. It was amazing and I totally recommend it to anyone!
We did parasailing and swimming with stingrays in Half Moon Cay (Bahamas), which was an amazing island to stop at with the nicest sand I have ever seen/felt in my life.
we took a mountain top tour, and went on the skyride and blackbeards castle on St. Thomas (USVI), was fun...my recommendation if you are going to drink...make sure you eat a HUGE HUGE breakfast and stay really hydrated, because they do a LOT of drinking on this island.
We took a Yunque jungle tour in Puerto Rico which was amazing, and hanging out in san juan was super fun
the last stop was in Grand Turk, which we didnt book any excursions and it was a more mellow day for us, but theres a gorgeous huge pool there and beachs and lots of duty free shops.
The food on the boat was great, loved the taco bar. There was always something in the way of entertainment if you wanted to go, or just hainging out at the pool was great too!

Carnival to Bahama, was awesome! Forget which ship but I am sure they are all awesome. We did the catamaran which was awesome, it took us to the Blue Lagoon in the Bahama, definitely commend. Went snorkling, was ok, I am not a big snorkler.
Definitely want to cruise again and would take Carnival. Great food. Loved the Bahamas!
We have been on 3 cruises. Disney, Royal Carribbean & Carnival.
If I were to go on another I'd pick RC. The service, entertainment and food were all better than Carnival.
Disney was very nice but I am not a Disney person...MIL took us on that one. If you have kids, it would be the best choice. Their childrens programs are wonderful.
We went on the 7 day Caribbean cruise by Carnival on the Carnival Victory to the Islands of St. Thomas, Barbados, St. Kitts, St. Lucia and St. Maarten. It was amazing. Highly recommend! We did one day without a shore excursion and regretted it because of the difficulty navigating St. Kitts (people are desperate to sell and we're were ambushed the entire time and it was breaking my heart). I'd recommend doing shore excursions to get the best experience, but if I did it again I would probably have enjoyed exploring Barbados and St. Maarten without a guide--they were the easiest to navigate.
Enjoy a cruise--so much fun!
Also--in terms of excursions--swimming with sea turtles in Barbados--it was so amazing...
wild sea turtles are beautiful and we even got to touch them!
We went for our honeymoon. We took the Carnival Legend out of Tampa. 8 days, 7 nights to the Western Caribbean...here is a link to our trip

We just did a couple of beach excursions.and then explored on our own. It was fantastic and we look forward to cruising again!

Have done two both with Princess.
One was to Alaska went one way from Vancouver to Anchorage. It was fantastic and the views were so picturesque. Excursions were whale watching/glacier, trip on railroad/sled dogs, lumberjack show/totem poles. They were all good excursions except the totem poles we were expecting far more and had seen quite a few in the day before we left in Vancouver. For this we also did a post cruise portion so we took a glass top railroad trip and then did some land portions in Alaska this was so great.
Other was Carribean. Also great, not as many excursions since it was nice to see the ports and hit the beaches and explores more.
Really depends on the type of trip you want. I like to explore and seeing places so the unpacking once with the cruise and a new spot daily was fantastic.
If you wanna just chill all week then all inclusive it. There are lots of days trips you can take from the resorts.
Disney to the Bahamas on New Year's Eve
I would highly recommend its not just a kids cruise we went for our honeymoon and they have adult only beaches, decks, and clubs.
