Hey everyone!
So our 2nd wedding anniversary is coming up at the end of august. I have the idea of doing a photo shoot and surprise hubby. Im thinking boudoir/pinup/fairytale.. if that makes any sense? I really like the idea of boudoir mixed with fairytale, and also like pinup, it just looks cool.
I know that when I meet with a photographer, they will probably have ideas but i would like to go in with additional ideas.. so do any of you lovely ladies have some ideas? props, clothing etc.?
I look forward to your feedback!
Re: Photography ideas
I think pinup and fairytale are two distinctly different themes and I'm not sure I could merge them together. Your photographer would probably know how to make it work, but are there certain fairytales that you're alluding to?
Rapunzel is going to be different than The Little Mermaid with vastly different outfit choices
Yeah, I think youre right, they are different.. so im thinking of leaning more towards boudoir/fairytale.. does that make sense? haha the reason for fairytale #1 is cause we sorta had fairytale themed wedding (not completely but little bits n pieces), and weve always watched disney movies together, corny i know
and boudoir, well.. kind of obvious
but i mean... i dont want to have a big poofy dress... so thats why im trying to think of boudoir.
I'm sure you could find some great corsets and garters that could work for your purposes. Alice in Wonderland would be awesome with a bright blue striped corset and maybe a cute top hat.
Belle loved books so you could put some reading glasses on with stockings and a bra with a book in your hand.
Jasmine would be fun too because you could do a Moroccan themed b-shoot with lots of pillows and silks. You could tie a silk sash around your neck and wear gauzy clothing.
Not sure if that's anything like what you had in mind...
I do like those ideas! if you come up with anymore, let me know!
thanks
We are military so when I did mine I wore his flight jacket unzipped with lace boy short panties and knee high boots. I also wore his flight suit (naked under) and had it zipped all the way down. I wrapped myself in an american flag. I also used his dog tags in a couple sexy poses. Ect.....
I also had some shots with a corset and heels laying/sitting on our couch and then I had one where I was on the inside of the sliding glass door looking out (waiting for him to come home type pose) and my photographer was on the outside.
You could incorporate his favorite things. If he's into sports you could get his favorite team jersey/shirt and wear just that. Use what he wears to work ect.
I've alway toyed with the idea of doing this for my hubby, but I've stopped myself because I have one nagging question. Perhaps someone can answer it, and I know it's probably a really silly question.
What do you do with the pictures? Do you make like a secret for your eyes only photo album out of the pictures? I couldn't imagine having a framed picture anywhere in my house, that someone could stumble upon during a tour leading to some very awkward stares over dinner... Maybe that thought should be answer enough that I am not ready to be in sexy boudoir photos.
