Our brick is in! It looks pretty close to the sample I think (thank goodness)! Now they just need to get it UP!!
Everything good at your house so far?
Re: ** Lala **
Yay! Sounds like they are moving along. Are you happy with how things are going now? I know you were pretty stressed.
The house is great! New house smell is some much better than new car smell. LOL! We have some minor things that need to be fixed at our 30 day review but nothing major. I'm so happy it's all over and I never have to move again.
That's awesome! I just can't fathom living in a place that has never been lived in before. It's such a weird concept to me!
I have mixed feelings about how it's going now. They seem to pick up the pace and then things screech to a halt again. They framed and roofed quickly, but now it feels like it's been just sitting again. Our PM is on vacay (for the 2nd time since June), so we had our pre-drywall meeting before he left, but that was last Fri. and they still don't even have insulation in let alone drywall! I'll be interested to see if the mason shows up today as planned. He was supposed to give us our closing date at our PDW meeting, and he said he was thinking Aug. 30 (which is even later than he said in our last convo) but he said he'd give us our final date when he gets back from vacay and sees where we are.
Yes, I'm happy with the brick! It is an all brick front.
I don't think I mentioned, but they ended up building a house that's the same model, same elevation with the same exact color combo we were considering on the road behind ours, so even DH is glad now that we went w/ Lacava instead of Brown's Valley. Not that we're totally in the clear from having a twin house in our plan, but that one for sure would've been exactly the same.
