Has anyone tried seasonique?
I am looking for a new birth control pill for about the 4th time! I am just wondering if anyone can tell me any side effects they experience, or how they feel about not having a period so often. Does it make you worry that you could be pregnant because you don't get your period every month? Any information would help, I can't seem to find something that works for me.

I used to be on it. The only reason why I went off of it was because my acne was getting really bad so I switched to a monthly one. I did sometimes worry about being pregnant, more so than I do now because there is more time between periods.
However, I loved only having 4 periods a year. I've been on the monthly pills for almost a year now and I still think, "Already??" when that time comes.
If I didn't have the acne problems I'd still be on it.
I'm not on either of those, but I've been in a similar situation. I have been on 5 different types of birth control in the past year and a half. Long story short, yaz or any variation of it makes me crazy, and implanon makes me cry all the time. I'm on Loestrin Fe 24 now, and really happy with it.
I thought I might be able to offer some advice since I take it continuously, like you would with seasonique. I will occasionally choose to have a period if it will help put mine or my DH mind at ease. Although the period you have while on the pill isn't a true period.
Good luck finding something that will work for you!
I'm on a generic version (which recently changed from one generic to another, actually), have been for 6-7 years, and I love it. At first it was only for controlling my extremely sucky periods. Seriously, I would go home from high school nearly every month when I got it. It makes my periods much more bearable and it's very nice to have them only 4 times a year. I didn't start having sex until after my wedding just over a year ago, but I have not been concerned about getting pregnant because I take them every day at the same time and am very diligent about it.
ETA: And as PP said, a withdrawal bleed (what you get on any pill) is technically not the same thing as a period. I will never understand why people take BC without trusting it to work or understanding how it works.
I tried it and thought it would be wonderful for me. Until I got my period after month 1 and then it never stopped until I stopped taking it. So I waited a few months and tried it again and still same result. So I just kept taking the pill thinking it would fix itself but it never did. I also had terrible headaches and weight gain with it.
I would talk to your doctor about it first.
