anyone else get the kidsburgh newsletter?
There's an article link in there with the headline "having kids prevents colds."
They definitely didn't interview me for that article.
I've never had more colds, flus, and illnesses that I've had in the 3 years since having Jackson. What about you?
Re: anyone else get the kidsburgh newsletter?
um, yeah....especially this year, I don't know if it was the extra kid or what, but man! Our family took a beating in the illness department!

I actually saw this on the CMU Facebook page also and thought the same thing. I have been more sick in the last 3 1/2 year then probably my whole life! Ha.
I have had 2 colds since having H. 1 since being in daycare. E never gets sick.
3 times?? oh you poor thing!!
It has gone through us twice and that was two times too many. I literally thought I was dying this last time.

That is funny. I know colds spread around like crazy in my house.
Yes, 3! And they happened at the worst times - the first when Rich was out of town, the second just after I had my gallbladder removed, and this last time was the other weekend when it was a million degrees and our A/C was broken - I was the literal definition of hot mess! On the plus side, Mason and Garrett only caught it once each and Rich has been spared so far!
that is terrible, especially the last instance, I can't even imagine!!! It has gone through all 4 of us each time....I hate to point fingers, but it always started with the smallest person in the family...........*ahem, LIAM, cough* And you know those little buggers bounce back after like, 8 hours. Me & Brian? Done for days!!!

Having lived through a year of a child in daycare and now 18 months of having my kids home with a nanny, I can say that daycare is 110% to blame in our case. Hubby & I were all constantly sick when S was in daycare.... since having the girls home we have been almost completely illness-free. It's been great but I'm expecting that we'll all take a beating when S starts pre-school in the fall.
