Staying sane when sick

When you're sick, do you have any go-to things you do to keep yourself sane?  I feel like I've exhausted all of mine.

I've been reading, watching TV, and on the internet, basically and just not being able to do anything is driving me crazy.

I've been sick-ish since last Wednesday, and really quite sick since Sunday.  Thank god the doctor has written me an antibiotic that I started last night so hopefully that helps very soon.

Re: Staying sane when sick

  • I try to sleep as much as possible, which doesn't help. But, I also try to do puzzles and things like that.

  • I usually do all the things you've already done. There isn't much else to do. You could put together wedding pictures in a scrapbook or order prints. That's something I wish I had more time for.

  • I like to put together lego sets or puzzles. Also if I am watching TV, I like to find the old cartoons and watch them.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  • When I had morning sickness for 10 weeks straight, I watched a lot of TV and laid on the couch.... it was all I could do. Maybe rent some good movies?

    Feel better!

  • I find new blogs to stalk. It's so funny getting to read through a year (or more) of a person's life that they're putting out there. It also kills a lot of time. :)
  • I try to get extra sleep and go about my day as normal as possible.  If however I feel like death I usually watch a horror film as I'm curled up on the couch.
