Re: Thankful Thursday
excellent sick leave & understanding/capable bosses (before this job, I did not know how to stay home sick. It was easier to come in because they needed me so desperately, even if I had a 103 fever and was vomiting. GONE ARE THOSE DAYS)
puppies to nap with
fried rice
throat coat tea
ice cream
NyQuil
So sorry you're sick Cole... get lots of rest.
I just made some homemade chicken stock... I'd so make you homemade chicken soup. Feel better
I'm super, uber thankful for Jacob... he amazes me everyday. He is currently off working in the heat and humidity. He is a Contractor and as such works outside. He never complains. Today, he was loading his truck and had broken into a sweat and that was just the beginning of his day. He comes in after working ALLLL day in the heat, sometimes in the desert (Palm Springs) with a smile and a kiss...just eager to see me and spend time with me. Amazing. I absolutely can't believe the ridiculousness and selfishness that existed in my past relationship and everything I didn't have that I now have... I am simply AHHHmazed.
I'm thankful I have a teaching job each year and to be so wanted by my school.. so many teachers are waitressing, bartending, etc due to such huge budget cuts.
I'm super, super thankful for two months off in the summer... even though it is almost over. I just couldn't maintain the intensity of my job without those breaks. Even now, I'm mentally preparing for the incredible intensity of my job. Sigh...
I am thankful that it has already been 4 weeks in the cast. I can't believe how fast that has gone by. Also thankful that it has been pretty easy, all things considered.
I'm thankful for summer holidays and having my husband home for 2 months
I'm thankful for Costco and their $1.50 hot dog and a pop
I am thankful for my amazing hubby
I'm thankful for the mini-vacation DH and I had.
I'm thankful that I have tomorrow off work too.
YAY for universal Costco hot dog deals... hmmm, that sounds yummy, hehe.
I'm thankful my husband humors me.
I'm thankful we're re-doing my office, even if it's going slowly.
I'm thankful I'm in charge of sports coding at work... because that means I'll get to binge on Olympic coverage as much as I want.
I'm thankful the weather is looking awesome for Saturday evening. The last few times we've had people over it's been so hot we've stayed inside. It'll be nice to get out in the yard!

I'm thankful we finally sorta have a plan for when visitors are coming to meet Baby A.
I'm thankful that all we have left to do before baby comes is install the carseat, and will probably be doing that tomorrow or this weekend.
