After living in this apartment for 3 years, I really want to take an honest to goodness crack at decorating.
I have yet to print out my wedding photos because there are 300 of them and I wanted to wait until I knew what I was going to do with them. Mind you, this is a year later. I'm indecisive.
At first, I wanted to dedicate an entire corner of our home to pictures of our wedding day, hang up the broom we jumped over, put out the unity candle, the whole bit. But that seems a bit......much. I do want to display the broom on a shelf over our bed, though.
I was thinking about doing about half a dozen pictures up: an 8x10 picture of the two of us kissing in front of the church with all of our guests and the bridal party looking on, a small individual pic of each of us (we took some really cute pics solo) and some other moments from the wedding (cutting the cake, walking back down the aisle--which would have been the bigger pic except I forgot my bouquet at the altar). I'm thinking about this taking up on sliver of wall in our living room. As for the rest of the house...
We have studio family pics that I was thinking about putting on the wall next to our son's room and then maybe a couple of collages on either side of the big mirror in our living room. We also have framed pictures of our deceased parents and grandparents (just 3) with my mother's old angels. I was thinking about framing a little poem and placing that on a table.
Pictures of other family and friends can go on tables and shelves.
Whew! All done. Any thoughts?
