The colored jeans trend

What are your opinions of it?  I'm trying to decide if I'll wear a pair enough to justify the purchase.  I'd probably go with either red or a darker jewel tone.

Re: The colored jeans trend

  • I'm pretty sure I can't pull it off... and I am a big believer in buying classic pieces that you can wear over a few seasons.  I feel like these jewel toned jeans are only going to be around for one maybe 2.
  • I honestly love the trend. And I wish I could buy every single color. But I would be more likely to just buy a super cheap pair of white denim and then dye them myself

  • Ok here is my opinion.. Don't spend a ton, these will go out of style so there is no need to break the bank. I have one pair that are a soft blush color and I love them! I got them at Target for around 25.00 they also have a mint color ( they still carry them). They are nice enough to wear with a blazer and heels, or sandals and slouchy white tee. I might get a pair for the fall in a dark cranberry color. Stay away from like hot pink or too bright... those colors are going to die out very very soon because of the season.
  • Colored jeans are not m style.  So to me its not worth the money.  And as someone else mentioned above, I like getting classic pieces.

  • They're a trend and fun, I like to mix them up with classic pieces - blazer, white shirt, etc. As with most other trends, I don't see them sticking around for more than a couple of seasons.

  • I'm not a huge fan.

I wouldn't spend a ton of money on colored jeans, because it seems more like a short term trend to me.

  • I personally love them. I have a pair of red, coral, mint and white skinny jeans. You can mix and match them with so many colors and can dress them up or down. I purchased my red and white pair from tj maxx, they fit perfect and only cost $20.00. I purchased the coral and mint pair from a local boutique and spent less than $50.00 on each pair. If you decide to purchase a pair of colored jeans and want some ideas on what to wear with them let me know. I''ll be glad to help!

    Good Luck  :-)

  • Just a helpful hint when washing colored jeans: turn them inside out so the color is maintained in cleanings! Smile
  • I fear it will fade before I get my cost per wear out of them.
