Stroganoff recipe?
Anyone have a great one? DH wants this for dinner and i've never been really impressed by any of the recipes we have tried.

Surprisingly, our go to fave is done in the slow-cooker:

Beef Stroganoff
1 boneless sirloin steak (about 2 lbs.)
1/3 cup of butter
Mushrooms
1 tsp. Salt
1 cup dairy sour cream
Sliced onions
1 can condensed beef broth
2 tbs. Flour or 1 tbs. Cornstarch
Cooked rice or noodles
1. Cut steak into ?? thick slices.
2. Heat a large skillet until very hot and add about a tbs. Butter and swirl to coat bottom.
3. Pan fry beef, using more butter as needed, remove and keep warm.
4. Add remaining butter to skillet stir in onion slices and saut? 5 minutes. Push to one side; stir in mushrooms and saut? 3 minutes. Add broth and salt; simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Stir flour into sour cream in bowl and blend in about 1 cup of hot mixture. Return sour cream to skillet and cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens and begins to bubble. Do NOT boil.
6. Add beef strips and stir until just blended.
