Halloween?

So I know it is pretty early yet...but my friends and I LOVE Halloween and always dress up & go out for the night.  Every year I make a costume for myself, but this year I am up to zero great ideas.  Last year I went as the Black Swan, and my costume was awesome (if I can say so myself :) but I didn't enjoy showing up at bar where there were like 5 other girls wearing the same thing.

Anyone seen any creative costume ideas or have any ideas?  I know it is early, but a) stuff is a lot cheaper to buy now than right before Halloween and b) it usually takes me about 2 months to make the costume!

My love for Halloween is borderline obsessive!!!! I usually start buying new decorations at about this time of the year and I can't wait to get my hands on some new stuff :)

This year for Halloween, H and I have decided to dress up as the SNL Spartan Cheerleaders. Pretty basic costume but it'll be fun to act like dorks all night long! Are you looking for a couples costume or just an individual one for you? Do you prefer more conservative or sexy? Or an inbetween? Would you want group costumes? So many questions I know but my love for Halloween runs deep!

My initial thought for you was to get three girls and dress up as rock/paper/scissors (each girl being one of the three obviously).

  • Me and my H LOVE halloween and always win an award at the parties we go to...my favorite year was I was a Gnome and he was the lawn. So we were a lawn gnome.

Last year we were a ping pong team.  Other year he was a hot dog and I was a hot dog vendor.

Sometimes we do couples things, sometimes not.  Most of my other friends already have ideas so I think we are on our own!

I'd be open to both couples/individual.  I prefer a little cute/sexy but not over the top.  The past few years I've gone as the Black Swan, Harley Quinn (Batman villain, the Arkham Asylum version!), Marie Antoinette, Jessica Rabbit (probably my favorite!), etc.

I just started a Halloween pinterest today!  I love these ideas, esp. the DIY mask!

I consider myself a creative person in general, but some things just elude me - like when it comes to thinking outside the box of ideas like this!  Good for you =]

  • I few years ago, I made myself a cupcake costume :) It was very kick a$$ and soooo freaking adorable. :) The same year, a co-worker of mine was a person in a hot air balloon. That was also awesome :)

You could always go as a tube of toothpaste, it's very fitting for you :) You could just make a simple white dress, paint your favorite brand on it and turn a lampshade into the cap/hat. Simple yet creative and fitting for your life. Your husband could be a dentist, how is that for outside the box!!

    How about...

    Popeye & Olive Oil

Garth and Wayne from Wayne's World

    Toothfairy

Snooki and Mike 'The Situation' :)

  • I had a friend who went as a pregnant housewife and her fiance went as the milkman...I laughed for weeks after that
