I may be putting my neck out the but i have to say that I'm Grateful that i live in America. My best friend is from El Salvador and her family moved here when she was a baby to get away from the civil war in their home country. Children are murdered on the streets of Honduras everyday b/c they are being for food or money for food. No one cares about them. I also don't want to move to a place that chooses my Dr. for me. I like our freedom of choice.
I voted for McCain not b/c he is white or b/c Obama is black. I voted b/c of my personal reasons, one of which is I disagree with Obama's tatics on terroism. I don't believe that you can reason with people like that. BUT I am not sold on the war in Iraq and am glad that he will make a change. I will stand behind our new leader b/c he deserves respect. I will pray for him just as i would for McCain and I will be nervous and hopeful again as I would if it would have been McCain. The truth is we have voted on ideas and beliefs but practice and follow thru is can not be seen right away. Bush was a let down for me so i understand anyone's fears that McCain would be the same way. Obama will be under intense pressure we must NOT set him up for failure!
The country has chosen a leader and now it is time to Unite in the United States of America! We should all be GRATEFUL that we can choose to vote how we want and walk our streets without men with machine guns on the corner.

Agreed! And if people aren't happy with their decision, they can choose differently in 4 years. I'm just glad that this election got people to get out and vote because we are certainly fortunate for that right!
I totally agree. I'm really glad to see my generation actually getting interested in politics and it was wonderful to see them get involved yesterday.
