What makeup with a red formal dress?
I'm Attending a military ball on Saturday. The dress is pretty shiny/shimmery do I don't want to overdo it. Smokey eyes? Neutral lips or red? What's your favorite long lasting mascara? Thanks!

Either look is pretty with red clothing. Putting both smokey eyes and red lips together indicates that you are desperate for attention--the wrong kind of attention.

This exactly!! If I was doing it on myself, I'd probably do a slightly smokey eye with a neutral lip.
ETA: I didn't see your second question about mascara... I've been using Benefit's They're Real and love it. I filmed a game show last week, and had to put my makeup on early in the morning... didn't get home until 11pm and it was still going strong. AND the MUA on set loved my mascara.
