Please rec your eye primer

I've been using UD's primer potion. However, I've had this tube for about a year now and I'm thinking it's time to get something new.

Does anyone use something different that they would recommend for me to try?

Re: Please rec your eye primer

  • I use the MAC prep and primer, I love it!

A light textured cream to wear on the eyes as an undercoat to eye makeup. Primes the lids. Smooths textures, neutralizes lid colour. Use under eye shadow, pigments, paints and concealers. • I PPH Paula Dorf, but I think she's hard to find these days... she declared bankruptcy last year, and Ulta no longer carries her (at least my Ulta doesn't!) According to the internets, Paula is reorganizing the company and is looking to relaunch sometime soon.  But this information was April 2011, and I haven't heard anything about PD coming back.

I've been using Benefit's Stay Don't Stray and I really like it.  It's a bit more expensive than the Urban Primer Potion, but it also acts as an under eye primer for your concealer as well.

I've been buying her stuff from beauty.com.  Wet Sand is the best color for contouring.  I will cry if it's ever discontinued.

  • I've been using Too Faced and it's just 'eh'.

Strangely, I really like the e.l.f. eyelid primer, but not as a regular primer.  I would mix it with Bare Minerals eye shadow to make a cream shadow and it lasted FOREVER.

  • I also use UD.  Mary Kay's primer is very comparable.  I almost think it is actually better.

  • Don't laugh, but the best primer is probably in your medicine cabinet. I use Milk of Magnesia as a primer and it works amazing for eye makeup and everything else and it is inexpensive.
  • I use an amazing primer from Arbonne!  It is so silky and gives me a flawless complexion, plus I put it on my eyelids and keeps the eyeshadow on all day!!  I buy it from my friend, who is a consultant, I order on line, so easy, ships in a few days!  the website is www.arbonne.com and my friend's ID number is 115511902, you can't order without an ID!  Hope you love it as much as I do!  All the products are natural, no toxins, the makeup is FAB!
