My dad just called to let me know that he's been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Im upset of course but I feel better knowing that it's a low grade form of prostate cancer and can be very treatable. Next step is a full body scan to make sure it hasn't spread. T&P that it's only in the prostate and that it can be easily treated. Thank you ladies!

I'll keep you and him in my thoughts!  The good news is that the prognosis with prostate cancer is usually very good (cure rates are very high), so hopefully this will be the case with him!

Praying for your family. My father also had a treatable form of thyroid cancer and he pulled through almost immediately like the doctors said he would. Try to stay positive for him in this very scary and difficult time!

I will keep him and your family in my thoughts. My grandfather was diagnosed with prostate cancer about 4 years ago when he was 85 and he fully recovered with 8 weeks of radiation. It is very curable, but I understand that when a loved one is sick it is a scary place to be.
