Opinions needed please...dresser/bed in front of huge window??

Hi!  I have a question about furniture placement and need opions please.  I am currently against putting our 2 (almost 3) year old in a room w/her bed against a window.  My husband seems to think it's okay.  They window is huge, literally takes up the entire wall, and faces out towards the front of our house.  I am against this for serveral reasons, including easy access and possiblity of car driving through it...which I know is rare, but possible.  We even discussed putting a dresser there in place, but am unsure how it will look.  The room is fairly small and has only two walls, not including the window wall to work with/place furniture.  What are your thoughts/suggesions.  All advice is appreciated!

Thanks!

Re: Opinions needed please...dresser/bed in front of huge window??

  • I wouldn't put the bed in front of the window (unless the head board covers it) because LO could pull the curtains/blinds down or kick/pull/damage them from the bed.

Personally I'd put a chair or bench in front of the window so LO can look out when they are awake/playing.

But if you have personal concerns about privacy then put the dresser there, but I do think it will look a little odd, especially from the outside. I'd hang white sheers behind the dresser so you couldn't see that a piece of furniture was there from the street.
