re-covering kitchen chairs
hi ladies, i'm new here! nice to meet you.
i need some advice... I bought a cheapie kitchen table/chair set online, and it's pretty decent except for the chair seat coverings which are this gross thin microfiber fabric.
so i want to recover the seats and bought some great fabric that i want to use for the project. but i wasn't sure if i should just recover the fabric as it is or if i should first remove the old fabric / staples and then cover it.
thanks in advance for your input!
Re: re-covering kitchen chairs
Its really up to you. I pulled everything off my second hand chairs and added new foam padding to make them more plush and then put batting on and then my fabric.
Of course, being that they were second hand, it kind of reduced the "gross" factor and also my fabric was a lighter color and I didn't want the old fabric to show through.
