wdyt of this mirror? PIP

It's been a good year since we redid our mater bedroom and I desperately need to accessorize. I'm starting with getting a mirror over our chest. I found this one at Home Goods for $130. Dh likes it. I do NOT! It is too masculine and I would like something softer. WDYT?

btw, first pic is of our bed and bedding so you can sort of see the look I'm going for. Calm and elegant.... I hope :)

Here is the Home Goods mirror. It really matches the furniture perfectly, but like I said, I would really like a different look.

Thinking about hanging the tv. wdyt?

Here is another mirror I found. I like the look but think it's too small.

I'm leaning toward this one from overstock... it's the same size as the first one I posted. WDYT?

Any advice?

Re: wdyt of this mirror? PIP

  • I like the round option. Its weight balances the bulk of the dresser beneath it. They work together really well.
  • I like the shape and size of the first one, but I agree with you that its quite masculine and dark, and with a lot of dark furnature already in the room that mirror intensifies the bold dark color...if you want it to be a calm room, I would do the second mirror or keep looking.
  • I like the overstock one best. I don't like the other two you posted in the post. the one is too small and the other looks good with it but its not my style.
  • I like the round one.  It looks really nice with the furniture.  I don't think it looks manly.
  • The both look two low to me but I like both mirrors
  • I love the first one, it is much more elegant than the starburst overstock mirror. It looks trendy and cheap compared to your classy elegant furniture. The second ones look is nice but as you said too small. I actually really like first one!

  • Yeah, the first one is way too industrial for your room. I really like the second/oval one, but you'd need to hang it on the wall centered above the dresser.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

  • I'm a big fan of the second one you posted, but agree that if you could find something a bit bigger that would suit the space better.  Are you planning to hang the mirror on the wall, or leave it resting on the dresser?
  • I LOVe the first one!!
