5 year old birthday party ideas (south suburbs)

I'm looking for ideas for a 5 year old (will be both boys and girls) birthday party.   I was thinking gymnastics (the little gym or somewhere else), preferably in the DTC area. We haven't been to any gymnastics parties or any gymnastics classes so I don't have a specific place in mind. I was planning on a smaller party (thinking a party at a place like Monkey Bizness is too large for the number of kids). I'm all over the place, as you can tell!

Any recommendations/advice appreciated!

  • There is Jungle Quest -- that has ziplines and such and uses harnesses.  Jump Street in Greenwood Village (heard iffy things about the Littleton location) where you pay per child.  There is Pump It Up but not sure how that pricing works.  There is Apex Academies where we went to a party there.  They have a huge blow-up tent thing and then lots of gym stuff to play on.  You could look into Lifetime Fitness (went to a party there) or even the Y.  There is also a My Gym place on Broadway and County Line and small but the party was cute.

  • South Suburban Rec Center does great gymnastics parties, we've been to a few there.    I have not been a fan of Jump Street for the younger kids though.  And haven't heard of Jungle Quest, though my 6-year-old apparently has and was telling me about it yesterday, LOL!
