So I was an hour and half late for work this morning. As I was heading to my car, I saw a strange dog walk through our yard. I went over to find him and he came right up to me. Of course no collar, so I grabbed our leash and made a make-shift one. I walked him around the neighborhood hoping we would find his owners but no luck. Brought him home, put him in our back yard with some water. I called the vet when they opened and took him in to see if he was microchipped, which he wasn't. They are holding him for me and I was planning to go get him at lunch and take him to the animal shelter. The only problem is, it's a kill shelter and they will only keep strays 7 days. I think I'm going to take him home at lunch and see how he does with my dog, and if they are ok I'll just keep him and let the shelter know to call me if anyone comes looking for him. I really hope his owners come, but I wouldn't mind keeping him......he is sooo sweet, an old guy.

This morning there was a flock of wild turkeys in my yard. I grabbed my camera and they went next door. Still, it's funny to see them right in the suburbs!

Happy Friday to you lovely ladies!

Rain is good, but we are leaving for Chicago after lunch so....a good 3-5 hour break would be nice.

I hope the stray doggy works out. When I was 12, we were outside doing yard work and 2 lasa apsos (a boy and girl) came over. Mom gave them food and water and they were ours for a week. But then the owners came :-(.  I was sad. But they'd get loose and come visit every now and then. Good story G!

 I hope the weekend is a good one for all! Olympics tonight! Yay!

I hope he does well with your current dog as well. I know I would feel awful taking any animal to a kill shelter. I would have hundreds of animals if I had the space and money, and if DH would let me. Maybe take a picture and post on craigslist also incase his owners look there. What kind of dog is it?

I'm looking forward to the Olympics. We don't watch anything in specific but it will be nice to have an option for something to watch this weekend other than the normal Rocky marathon DH loves to turn on. Haha.

I had my first Tastefully Simple party last night, other than my own. I was a little nervous but overall it went really well!

I've been dozing on and off at work today. And I don't feel like filing today or cleaning the bathroom tonight. Blah!

Picked up the dog and took him to my house. My dog is a little aggressive with him, but they are ok. Both laying in the living room. I went to the shelter and the woman said that someone called this morning asking if anyone found their chocolate lab, but they wouldn't leave their information. How stupid! So now they have mine if this person calls back, which I hope they do.

Ugh I am fuming. What a crock of sh!t!!!!! I have filed bankruptcy and my creditors have received notification not to contact me whatsoever, cannot garnish any wages or money, and cannot pursue further action (legal) against. Well it looks like since Mike did ammendments on his taxes, the state actually owed me money. Well LMCU got the deposit on the 23rd after closing out my checking accounts. Basically because I had credit card debt with them, they are kicking me out because they are losing money. Well they are taking that money and applying the money towards the credit card payments for the last 2 months and will notify the courts of that  that the balances with them have been lowered. I was anaware that they could do that, but I guess that they can.

Thanks. I feel good about it. A couple people told me to just let him go and he would wander home. That just didn't feel right to me. Currently both boys are laying on the floor napping, they just shared a bowl of food. No one has called and the shelter is closed until tomorrow, also the ad in the paper starts tomorrow, so it looks like we will have 2 dogs tonight!
