if you have an 'established' plaque or sign

DH bought a brass/bronze(?) "established" plaque for the house for our anniversary.  I love it, but he put the date we moved into our house rather than our wedding date on it.  Isn't it supposed to be the wedding date?  I haven't said anything because I don't want to make him feel bad...he takes a lot of pride in being a thoughtful gift giver.  Also, where do you have yours mounted?  There are exterior lights where I think it would look good so the only space is under those, about chest level.  Thoughts?

Re: if you have an 'established' plaque or sign

  • Does the placque just say "established", or does it also have your last name on it?

If it doesn't have your name, then I think it's a really cute idea- since thats when your new "home" was established....

  • It says...

    ***Welcome***

  • We have "The Taylor Family" and our wedding date but I'd be ok with the date of the house.    Here's a view of ours taken from inside the front door (it's over the entrance into the main part of the house if you can't find it)

  • I have seen both the wedding and the home purchase date.

I think the fact that it says WELCOME signifies that it's a house plaque, not  celebrating your union....  I would hang it outside by the front door
