annoying habit your H does? hahaha
Just had to ask, I know everyone will have something to share on what annoys them to death about their spouse. LOL
My H smacks his lips extremely loud when eating food he loves. He says it makes it "taste better". (?!) lol! Also, instead of simply rolling over at night in bed, he slams his body on the bed rolling everywhere waking me up frequently!
At this point, I just simply SMH because there's nothing I can do hahaha
Experiences?
Re: annoying habit your H does? hahaha
DH shoves "pretty clean" clothing under his side of the bed for rewearing the next day. Just t-shirts and knock around shorts or pants...but still.
Also, the dog's tags bother him when she shakes, so he removes her collar and when I have to put the dog outside, I can never find the collar.
He also has braces and uses a water pick to clean his teeth in addition to brushing. He leaves little particles in his sink that gross me out.
This only annoys me when I'm trying to talk to him and feel like he is nodding and not listening but...
DH ALWAYS "plays golf" in his head. I know he is doing this because he stands there swinging an imaginary golf club! It doesn't bother me unless I'm trying to talk to him though!
Your H & mine must be distant relatives or something....this is the kind of stuff mine does. Constantly. Especially the dirty clothes...I've kindly reminded him that there is a laundry basket for those.
On the flip side though, he does make us breakfast every morning and packs both our lunches....so I guess I can deal with picking up his dirty underwear from the floor. hahaha
TTC 19 months ~Started RE in March 2014~
DH was not ready for IUI so we waited
~Started acupuncture in May 2014~
~~BFP 7/6/14~~~EDD 3/14/15~~It's a girl!!~~
DH always feels the need to clip his toenails RIGHT AFTER I just vacuumed the carpet. He has a trash can near him, but honestly, I think 1/10 of the toenails actually goes in there.
Also, he likes to "forget" to do the red laundry when it's his turn because he only has "a few things" that are red - the rest are mine. It's weird though, because one time I "forgot" to do whites since I don't wear socks in the summer and I own like 1 white shirt...it was a big deal then. lol
the dresser drawrers are always looking like a 2 yr old was trying to pick out clothes. All opened in their own way and all have some type of fabric hanging out. Then the dirty clothes are just laying in front of the dressed when the basket if right next to them.
He hates when I leave my closet door open.. so I leave my door open when I see his clothes like that. Ill come back later that day and what do ya know... his drawers are cleaned up.. so I close my closet
He is a good sport, that one.
My H does the "in a minute" excuse. Half an hour or more later, I just end up doing it myself. The worst is when I ask him to get something right next to him within his arm reach and he says "in a minute" when he's not actively in the middle of something.
Also, it takes him FOREVER to finish a cup of coffee... "after I finish my coffee" is almost as bad of an excuse as "in a minute!"
My husband does pretty much all of the above. The laundry on the floor, gross blowing of nose, never rinses his dishes, never closes the seal on food bags. He was a single child with a stay at home mom, the evidence is everywhere. But the thing that irks me the most is his inability to throw papers out.
We have stacks of paper EVERYWHERE. For some reason he gets like ten times more mail than I do and always insists he needs it. About once a week I will sift through the papers and get rid of what I know he doesn't need but there is still paper everywhere. One time I asked him to condense the papers so they weren't on every counter top and table in the house. I came home pleasantly surprised to see only a small stack (and of course the usual giant stack of paper in a drawer we use for bills and such). Unfortunately, I later found the papers, where you might ask? In the kitchen cabinet....with our pots and pans....I asked him if he was trying to hide them from me and he explained that there was no room in the drawer with the other papers and he noticed there was room in that cabinet. Honestly!
Oh my gosh, he checks the car before unlocking it (to make sure it was locked) which means I stand there for an extra minute and a half while he tries every handle! AHHH! And the odd thing is- it's a new development. I've seen these come and go in him- like the listening to the cap pop on waterbottles to make sure that they were really sealed- but with the bottle RIGHT next to his ear for maximum awkwardness- I am glad that one is gone (after 6 months).
I would say leaving the dishes next to the sink without rinsing them off so the food gets dried up on the plate and I have to scrub extra hard to get them clean! Also, he uses floss picks alot so leaving those on the floor next to the bed every night. He cleans them up sometimes but not always...
And the smacking comment is hilarious to me because I do the same thing, and have said that it makes it taste better lol, and the smacking annoys my husband so I'm trying to do better :-)
Reading past posts at work and I am cracking up! My H has to blow his nose after he uses the restroom every time and when he does, it sounds like an elephant. No matter where we are, he does it. Also instead of tissues that I convienently leave out, he uses toilet paper and lots of it. THEN he tosses it in the trash instead of the toilet. So when we run out toilet paper quicker than we should, I can see the lbs of toilet paper that was only used for blowing of the nose. The only other habit I cannot stand is how quickly he can trash the back seat of a car. Receipts, Mountain Dew bottles, Doritos bags---when he's down, he tosses it in the back seat. We got a new car and he drove to work for a week and by the time I got it, it looked horrible. What's even worse that we have trash bags in the car!!! {Sigh!}
