Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Anyone stationed at Beale AFB, CA??
Hello,
I've recently tied the knot on 7/13/2012 and will be moving to Beale upon my husbands arrival from a deployment in December. I'm wondering if anyone of you are stationed at Beale? Any recommendations on housing areas?

Hey Girl,
I am from that area and we are Air Force (currently in Japan). I wouldn't live on base. I would live in Roseville/Rocklin. It is an easy commute for him and there is a lot of opportunity for you. There are many job available and schools in the area.
It is a great part of the country; you are close to the ocean, mountains (free skiing at a lot of the resorts for military), the city, a great concert venue (Sleep Train Amphitheater). And to top it off, you are close to Napa.... there are a lot of free winery's for military too!!
If you go to church there are many great churches in that area, I used to attend Mosaic Christian Church and I miss it like CRAZY!
