So my husband and I will be at the beach on family vacation during our 1st Anniversary. I was just wondering about the tradition of eating the top of our wedding cake.
Would it be bad luck to eat it before or after our Anniversary? We're flying to vacation and I really don't feel like carting around a big tupperware container. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Re: 1st Anniversary Cake
It'll be a fun remembrance no matter when you eat it.
We ate the top tier of ours the day after our wedding. My great aunt and uncle were both feeling ill, and couldn't stay for much of the reception, so we went to their hotel room the next day and ate it with them and had a nice visit
Ours so was still so good, too! We kept it in the freezer at my Mom's house so neither of us would be tempted to persuade the other to bust into it before hand. I think were going to recreate a mini f our cake for our 5 year anniversary, (2 more years!)
I don't think it's bad luck at all. if you do it before or after you can spread out the fun over a few days
