Please help me word this
I am sending out "save the dates" for our company holiday party.
I work in the oil industry so we are inviting a mix of engineers, sales, and field guys. Last year (I wasn't here) the wives/SO were disappointed because they wanted to dress up but didn't know they could.
Most of the men will probably wear whatever they want but it's the women I'm wondering about. I know they want to go shopping and buy a dress for the occasion.
How would you word this? It is NOT going to be a black tie event.
At a a nice hotel, plated dinner, cocktail hour, drinks....ect.

What do you mean they didnt know they COULD? Why couldnt they??? I would imagine if it is at a nice hotel they would hopefully know to dress nicely.
