Lo Loestrin Fe Question....
Hi all! new to the board. I have been married about 2 yrs and just now went back on BC after being off for the last 3 or so years. My OBGYN started me on Lo Loestrin due to having lots of side effects from other pills in the past. I stated my pack on the last day of my period (which she said was fine) but now a week later I am spotting alot (only one week after my period) . Has anyone noticed this? I have heard you spot with BC, but this soon? and I thought that was after taking it awhile! Any input is helpful. thanks

I took Lo Loestrin a few months ago. I think the spotting is normal, because your body is just getting used to it. If you are concerned, I always suggest to talk to your doctor or provider.
I hope this BC works for you, because I had complications with it! It gave me non-stop headaches (as in everyday) for the second month. My libido is so-so, but this BC made me not want to do anything with my SO. I felt really bad for him, and I was very frustrated with myself. Also, I started getting depressed and wasn't too sure why. I also gained a lot of weight within a short time span but I think that's normal. I ended up taking Microgestin after I finished my two month trial, but I hated that too.
I just wanted to give you a heads up, but I know how BC is different for every woman. I know it works well for my friend, because she only uses that protection and she hasn't gotten pregnant at all. I wouldn't know this though from personal experience, because we used protection as well.
Thanks for the heads up! I had the same problems (side effects) with other pills (veerrrryyy decreased libido and sex was painful). I was actually on the Nuva Ring for a few years and I was fine then all of a sudden one day out of no where these side effects started. Our bodies are so strange.
The reason I asked about the spotting was because I tend to often think I am preggers ( we aren't trying but I am excited to be). I thought spotting one week into the pill (and one week after my period.. which was lighter than normal and 6 days late) was weird. I always read in to things but AF has been so wierd lately. I have never been late.. and now 6 days!!!
I hope you find a form of BC you like. I hope I don't get those headaches. thanks for the feedback
