VENT: Work parties
I get so up in arms over work lunch functions. My thoughts are, if you bring something for the party or whatever, then you can partake...if you didn't, knowing there was a function that day, then too bad! I can't stand it when people who wouldn't normally be in the breakroom just happen to come in and help themselves...knowing they didn't bring a daggum thing!!
Also, when a vendor buys lunch for the lab, you know to be conservative with the food to make sure there is enough for everyone working. Well, here you have to make sure you are one of the first ones in there, to beat the people that come in, eat, and fix a plate to take home to their family. Greedy, unappreciative people who only think of themselves annoy me!

OMG, I know! The last time I brought cupcakes to work I sent an email to my group plus one guy who always goes to eat lunch with us. Well, he came to get one and took one for a lady in his group, who I don't even know! Hello! There was only enough for the people on my email. So rude. Needless to say, he's not on my sweet treats email list anymore.
