Pottery Barn Bedding Quality

I have noticed on their website that they have some cute sheets and duvet covers that I may buy, and that the prices arent terrible either! My question is does anybody know how they hold up in the wash and how soft they are?

 thanks!

Re: Pottery Barn Bedding Quality

  • I have had 2 organic cotton duvet covers and matching shams and I just bought an embroidered coverlet.

The organic cotton is super soft, but it wrinkles like crazy. Also, if it's on a bed that gets used frequently, the organic cotton is tough to keep looking good it gets a limp look to it.

The coverlet is less than 6 months old. So far, it is good. I did pull out my sewing kit and reinforce someof the embroidered areas that I thought looked a little weak.

I have no experience with PB sheets, but I do know that their kid sheets are only 280 thread count, which is pretty crappy for that price.

You are better off getting some nicer sheets at Macy's or Bed Bath and Beyond.

  • I've exclusively had Pottery Barn Duvets, throws, pillows, etc for the last 10+ years and they have all held up great.   I agree on the sheets, I buy ours at Macys, BB&B and TJ Maxx.

  • I've bought 3 of their duvet covers and all the buttons fall off!  The cotton is super soft so I guess if you took the time to reinforce the buttons from the start you'd be good.  If not it's a PITA to try to find them.
