Sorry that I caused a heated debate
I'm really sorry I started a heated discussion. I've stayed out of political discussions all this time but it bothered me those jokes were made, and I know no one really meant they were leaving the country. Regardless of who we all voted for, it just doesn't feel like the end of the world with the president elect we ended up with. Again, I'm sorry I caused a commotion.
Re: Sorry that I caused a heated debate
Well, I guess you will just have to leave the board. Lol, J/K
I don't like it when people get so up in arms over an internet discussion, just speak your peace and go...everyone is entitled to their own opinions! I don't think anyone thinks you did it on purpose
Thanks, girls... I hated to bring it up again, but felt so bad about it and wanted to apologize.
Lauren - good point! LOL
I agree with Lauren...Sharing opinions and points of view and having debates are healthy. i don't think anyone is upset or that things got out of hand! Trust me they are plenty of things about this election that has me heated and none of them are from the ladies around here
People who annoy me...celebrities that jump on a band wagon, talk ugly about the opposite party and in general cause a ruckus without being informed on the real issues at hand! Now that has me heated!
It's ok! I just felt bad because I felt like the part of the cause of all this since I made that reply to AM's post. Like I said in another post, I didn't mean anything by it and for that reason, I shouldn't have said anything. This was one of those times where I should have thought about what I was saying before I actually said it. Especially since I don't normally participate in political discussions/debates because I'm not educated enough (which is sad on my part) so my opinions aren't strong enough. So I'll take this opportunity to move on by not saying anything political (joking or not) until I know what the he!! I'm talking about. I still love you girl! And everyone else on this board!
Don't feel bad - I'm actually glad debate gets stirred up and we can talk about issues. I'd be bored if this place was all roses and sunshine with everyone agreeing with everyone else.

I just think it's important to remember what this is -just an internet message board- and to take the things people say or do on here as such... with a grain of salt.
Yep, I totally agree with that. I think the important thing is to respect that other people have that same right as we do- to say what we think and feel the way that we feel.
Religion and politics are two things that every person holds close to their heart and it's normal for people to take it personally when someone disagrees with them. That's why I prefer to not even go there when I'm in a conversation with someone
One of my CW's is a little older and a bit of a bigot, and she walked around all day on monday confronting people about their political views and it made a lot of people really uncomfortable. When I saw her doing that, all I could think of was "wow, I really want to make an effort to not be that way".
Obviously I still managed to make people uncomfortable, but whatev. I tried not to.
yup!
