Cameras

Hi...I am looking for a new camera and wanted to get some opinions and advice for a good camera. I am looking to spend less than $1,000 and need something fairly simple to use but that takes good pictures.  I mostly take pics of animals so it would be ideal if I could get good shots of moving animals.

Re: Cameras

  • There are a lot of good cameras out there that take amazing pictures, without costing too much.

I really like my Nikon coolpix L105.  The only down side is that it doesn't have the option to interchange lenses.  But there was one model better that did have that option.  I think it was around 500.

But my dream camera would be a Cannon Rebel.  It is quite easy to operate and takes amazing pictures.  They run between 800-1500 depending on which model you go with.

  • The Cannon Rebel is a great entry-level DSLR.  It takes amazing action pictures, that are crisp, clear, full of detail and no blur. Their new Rebel EOS T3 series runs $500-700 depending on the actual model.  The T3i is the mac daddy, but it's the most user friendly of the 3 with a lot of pre-set / automatic features.

Keep in mind that lenses, accessories are going to cost extra.  You can shop around online and find some good package deals though.
