Clarisonic Mia 2 vs Olay Pro-X??
I've debated getting a Mia for awhile but I've been hearing more and more about the Pro-X. I have sensitive skin with small pores and occasional breakouts. I don't know if one product would be better for me with my skin type or not since I know they both offer different brush heads.
Are they really that different for the price?
Re: Clarisonic Mia 2 vs Olay Pro-X??
There are a few differences between the two.
Clarisonic Olay
-Waterproof -Water Resistant
-Rechargeable -AA batteries
-Vibration -Oscilation
-3 different brush head types -1 brush head type
There are a few differences you can see that cause the Clarisonic to be much pricier (waterproof/vs resistant, etc.) I feel the rotating brush head on the Pro-X would do a better job sloughing off dead skin and removing my makeup than simply vibrations, although that may be roughing on your skin than sonic vibration.
Personal experience, my skin is far too sensitive to use the Mia, I have only been able to use it a handful of times. I have not tired the Pro-X for this reason.
Thank you for asking this question. I thought I was the last person on earth who did not have a Mia! But just never could bite the bullet and spend that much. I would give the Olay a shot however. BTW I have seen them at Costco and they have excellent return policy.
I would try the Pro-X before getting the Mia. That's what I did, and I'm very thankful I didn't immediately drop the $$ on a Mia. The Pro-X ended up ruining my sensitive skin- It worked great in my t-zone, but gave me terrible dry, flakey patches on all the drier areas of my face.
However, it's worked out great for my husband, who has oilier/ more acne prone skin than me.
Ditto PP. I would try the Olay Pro-X first. I purchased the Olay version about 8 months ago. I wanted to try using a facial cleansing brush without shelling out $$$ on the Clarisonic. I love the Pro-X so much that I have kept using. Eventually, I will probably upgrade to the Mia but the Pro-X works great for me now.
FYI-I have combo skin. I use the brush every day on my t-zone area and every other day on the rest of my face. My cheeks get too dry if I use it every day. It has helped with my mild, hormonal acne as well.
I don't have a Olay PRO-X, but I can say that I love my Clarisonic Mia 2 that I got at http://www.clarisonic.com . You won't regret getting one. There's a good review on the Clarisonic Mia 2 at http://www.thehonestreviews.com/beauty/clarisonic-mia-2-review/ that helped me learn more about it
