  • imagemrsodonnell12:

What are you long term and short term goals, personal and family/couple?

1 month goals: Get the house put back together. It is still cluttered with wedding shiit. Post stuff for sale on ebay and such.

6 month goals: Keep the house company ready! (This is a very wishful goal). We would also like to have a baby on the way. :) We need to get our roof re-done before winter, which will start in Oct. or so.

1 year goals: I would like to be a SHAM by this time. We have to get our finances in order and stick to our budget. I would like to make more stuff at home. (Like a better garden, canning food, and cooking at home mostly.)

5 year goals: We would like to have a rental property by this time. We are planning on moving out of our current house and renting it out, while living in a second, larger house. (Our current house is 900 square feet and won't have much room when we have kids.) We are discussing putting a house on some off-grid property that the ILs own. This way we can be more self-sustaining and it is a lot cheaper to live up there. The ILs would also live up there probably. MIL and I get along really well and would love to stay home and take care of the house and land and raise kids. :) The boys would drive to town for work.

10 year goals: I think we would want to have a successful rental property or two, have a happy family started, and be comfortable in our little life.
