What have you been reading lately?
I've been a reading machine the past few weeks. What have you been reading this summer?
Re: What have you been reading lately?
A reading machine? Please share what you have been enjoying.
I just started Afterwards by Rosamund Lupton. I loved her book sister. I am not too far so I can tell you how much I like it yet.
I am listening to The Tiger's Wife. I have only finished one disc so far. It is a little slow, but I am curious where the story will go.

I've got a few different books all partially read.
1. Seven by Jen Hatmaker. The author is disgusted by living in excess, and chooses seven areas to cut back on. One month, she only wears 7 articles of clothing, one month she only eats 7 foods, etc. It's Christian themed, and I am intrigued by her journey.
2. Global Weirdness. It's a recent book on climate change, and it's really readable. I'd definitely recommend it.
3. The Other Side of the Couch. It's a psychiatrist discussing his most interesting cases throughout his career. I'm finding it interesting.
I also recently read Where We Belong, which is the new Emily Giffin. I liked it - it was a really quick read.
I've been reading a series by Susan Mallery called Fool's Gold. The books are SUPER easy reads and very formulaic.
I finished the new Emily Giffin, Where we belong. I thought this was much better than heart of the matter. The other thing I liked about this book was that there wasn't any cheating. By the time I read Heart of the Matter I was very over her including that element in all of her books.
On our trip to Michigan we listened to Divergent by Veronica Roth. While I enjoyed some parts of this story, I won't be reading the other two. There was a bit too much teenage angst. Chances are that it was a bit different for me, because we listened to it with the kindle voice application.
I also finished Size 12 and Ready to Rock by Meg Cabot. This series is always a fun, easy read.
I finished Size 12 and Ready to Rock on vacation. I liked it, although I thought it was slow to start. I have read all of those books. I am looking forward to the next one.
I am reading The Dominant Blonde. It is a novel set in the Caribbean about scuba diving and is somewhat of a cross between chick lit and a mystery. It is okay.
