Preserve broken band

My husband and I are coming up on our 3 year anniversary.  He recently shattered his wedding band that we were married with.  We knew it was a possibility as it was made from tungsten but with his work, it was safer than a metal that will bend.  I currently have the pieces and want to preserve them in a shadow box or engraved something because it is what we were married with.  I just have no idea where to find the products or services to have that done!

Any ideas?  It is multiple pieces and would love to have something where we can show that "metal may bend and break, but our love is strong".

Thanks for any help or ideas you can provide.

Re: Preserve broken band

  • A local jeweler (talking about the kind you normally find on etsy) could turn it into a new peice of jewelry. A pendant or metal that can be worn on a chain, ring (set or wire wrapped) or earrings.
  • Depending on the size of the pieces, my friend got me a necklace from origami owl that is like a charm necklace with space to put little charms.  This would be more something a female would wear than a man, but you could wear it and get him a new band :)  The necklaces come in various sizes but wouldn't be able to accomodate 1/4 of a band or anything, more the actual "shattered" pieces than anything else.
