Wedding photos

Hi

I've been married 2 months tomorrow.  How long did it take for you to receive your wedding photos.  We haven't even seen a proof.

Re: Wedding photos

  • that seems like a long time to me, I think I got just a few to look at within a few days, and the entire set of proofs maybe a week or two later.
  • What did the contract say? Have you contacted the photog?
  • We get the same response we are really busy and have a bunch of weddings ahead of you.  She still hasn't been able to give us a date; that's what we get for going with a friend of the family.   The only good thing out of this is that my brother in law took amazing pictures and we have those.

  • I just spoke with her again and it's the same story they are busy and backed up and for us to be patient with them.  We went with a friend of my husband's mother, first mistake, and they have been so unprofessional so I expect no less than this.  I'm hoping to not have to call her again.
  • It can take a photographer from a month to 6months (occasionally more) to get the fully edited photos to you. They should have said up front, in the contract or both how long. The more weddings they have the longer it takes.

Dont bug them and let them know now (I'm sure they already know) you are excited to see the photos and would apreciate a sneak peek of one or two. Give them a few more weeks before checking in again if you  have not heard from them.

  • I probaly won't check in again until the first or second week in September.   I just expected to see some proofs at least by now.
  • I got mine after 6 weeks of being married. There was a hand written apologizing for the messed up photo album and saying that there was another one on the way, but I would get to keep that one as well (yay!!). It will probably be a month longer before I get the other album.

I was generally happy with the photos though. I just messaged my videographer because I haven't received anything or even got any feed back from him since the night of the wedding.

I heard that it took 3 months for someone to get back their footage for the people I used. (It will be 7 weeks on Saturday since our wedding).

  • We got our wedding photos back and week from the day of our wedding, although our package didn't come with editing. I think if they had to go through and edit each photo it would have taking a lot longer. Our photo CD came in the mail a couple of days after the pictures.
  • I know my situation is not normal, but my album didn't come for more than a year!  We had proofs by 2 months though.

Sometimes you have to crack the whip with photographers.  I became my photographers worst nightmare until he delivered on the album and I demanded a partial refund.

H and I used my sister's SIL. It took her 9 months to get us our pictures. And she left at the beginning of the reception  with no explanation so it's a good thing my dad is a photographer or we'd have no pictures from that. Lesson learned: always use a professional and/or make a contract.

  • we got ours last week...so thats about 2.5 months...

You should have signed a contract that should have outlined how long it would take. Look it up, if its past that date, start bugging the photographer...if not, leave her alone until it is.

  • ours came in 4 weeks
    Anniversary
  • We got ours at the 2week mark
  • Actually it took 8 weeks ...they were waiting for me to "pay in final" without a bill! so just give them a call b/c in my case seem to be a miscommunication.
  • We got married on July 21st and it only took our photographer about 3 weeks to get our proofs to us. Now working on the hard copies to put in albums and get out to other family members. He did an awesome job though..would recommend him to others and have too.
