Another BF/bottle question
Nolan is starting to refuse his bottles at daycare. He will drink some, but is starting to refuse them about halfway through. He'd much rather have purees, cereal and finger foods.
He's almost 9 months--should we keep forcing the issue? Or just make smaller bottles and send more food. In the evenings, I give little "food" and mostly just nurse.
Thoughts?
Re: Another BF/bottle question
They're offering the bottle first, he just doesn't want it. He already dropped 1 bottle when he started solids. I just wasn't sure how much BM they NEED at this age--although he does snack frequently thorughout the night :-)
If he's still nursing regularly with you I would send smaller bottles to daycare. He probably prefers to get milk directly from you and to fill up with more food at daycare. Let him lead the way. Todd was similar in that he never drank a lot at daycare and tended to reverse cycle. I sent 7 and 8 ounce bottles for Heather but I don't think I ever sent more than 5 ounces in a bottle for Todd...
