Girls I need help!
I cant decide if I should get these nightstands. I have been on the prowl for matching nightstands for a while. We just repainted our bedroom and got an entire new bed. Mattress, bedding, frame, everything. Heres a link to a post on TK with pictures!
Should I get the nightstands and give them a makeover or keep looking cuz they wont go with the rest of the room decor (or lake thereof)???!

I agree with seeing the rest of your furniture. I have say the night stands don't really match your decor though. What was your plan, to sand and stain them?
I went almost crazy trying to find matching night stands also. I ended getting two small floating shelves and putting them next to the bed at nightstand height. They work really well for us!
Well I have my dresser and in another room. But his dresser is black and pretty modern in our bedroom..
I was thinking the same thing about the difference in the styles. Modern compared to the old fashioned look
But they are just SO cute!

Yea I just visioned sanding them and repainting them a cool color or just black with cool new handles. Or I could even take out the bottom drawer completely and replace it with a basket that would fit in that hole or just leave it without the bottom drawer.

I think a dark neutral would be your best bet, like a chocolate brown on a black, even a charcoal grey would be really nice since you have greys in your room already. If they're funky it might draw attention to the fact that they're super different. I looooooove the idea of putting a basket in the bottom!
I think it really depends on what you are trying to go for in this room. If you are the type that likes things matchy matchy (yeah, that's me!) then I would start searching again because this is a completely different style. If you are the eclectic type that just loves pairing things together and see what they all look like together (wish this was me!) then I say go for it. If you are going for the second, I would probably make the nightstands stand out on their own. In otherwords, with a splash of funky paint on the nobs or if you take out that bottom drawer, make that inside space a offsetting color than the base of your stand.

Do you have a spare bedroom you could use these in? That way you could still buy them because you seem to really like them and keep with the style that you have going on in your bedroom. Or...could you use them as end tables in your living room? Don't laugh...lots of people do that too.
