I just got my Kindle a month ago, and my free Prime membership expired. MH has Prime on his amazon account, and I'm linked to his membership on my account. Though, apparently, I can't download the one free book a month or watch the streaming videos on my kindle since I'm not the one with the Prime membership. Is there any way I can get around this without having to re-register my Kindle under his account? (This wouldn't be a problem, I just like it saying ___'s Kindle (insert my name) haha.

Re: Kindle and Amazon Prime
I thought this as well, which is why I bought my Kindle in the first place. I already have an itouch and Ipad that I had the Kindle app on but then I bought the Kindle bc of the lending and streaming videos.
I have a Shared prime Membership - since I receive a share of Prime, it doesn't allow me the same benefits as being the owner of the membership. I ended up paying the $79 so I could do the videos and pick an 'expensive' book every month to justify it.
It's super confusing. And of course another way for them to make money.
This is what I was going to say. The name on the Kindle can be anything you want, no matter what account it is linked to.
