Intro and what happened?
After lurking for a bit I figured I might as well introduct myself over here. My husband and I have been married for what will be a month next week. Our wedding was amazing and we're adjusting to married life. Nothing changed yet like everyone said would happen. I guess the only difference is he's wearing a ring and I get a "holy cow, I'm married... that's so weird" thought come into my head once in a while. The thing we are most looking forward to post wedding is that we're getting the cutest puppy ever next month which we're so excited about.
Anyway, what happened around here? Proboards? Gloating "real nesties"? Can someone fill me in? I missed the whole show. I'll try to help liven things up around here

This place is clinically dead and has been for 3 months. The Nest effed up the boards and by the time they were fixed, it was too late. Some thousands of regular posters jumped ship and moved here:

I am not sure why there are proboards. I guess it had something to do with too many changes and now a lot of people are over on those boards.
Oh and you aren't a real nestie unless you go over to the pro boards. Quite frankly it's a f*cking website and I don't get what the big deal is.
Congrats! I'm new here too. DH and I got married in May.
We also got a new puppy recently. She's a German shepherd mix (we think with lab) named Athena She just turned 4 months. She's only 20 lbs but she's a cutie. 
We also have two other dogs. A two year old chiweenie named Riley and a three year old Jack Russell mix named Milo. They are my boys.

We had the same thing. Nothing changed except my name, nice rings and the occasional "omg we are married".
I remember the stink over the nest changing but I didn't care to much since I still perfected the knot at the time. Once my month board moved over here I moved with it. I kind of like how I don't have to sort through so many posts daily. I wish it was more active but I'm ok with the steady flow of posts.
Is it saliciting when some of the ladies do a post specifically promoting pro boards. Because that is really annoying to me.

I just got married in June! Newlyweds!!!!
I think proboards is just a much more lively community and offers the kind of humor and support us newly married girls really need! You should check it out!

I just came out of a long Nest haitus, and it is kinda sad not to see all those ladies with the funny posts on here...you know, the "REAL Nesties", I guess?
But then again, I just looked at the proboards and the whole interface of the thing looks like something out of 1997! Lame! The nest is so much prettier and user friendly.
Anyway, Congrats on your marriage and puppy!
Is this your original nest name or are you using an AE? What content? Do you use/read something other than the boards?
I like the hover feature. That would be nice here, but I don't want anything to change for a while. Baby steps here forever! The cursing thing is silly to me. If it's that big a deal to someone, then they probably need a censor?IRL..Damn ML sailors!
It's my original name. I'm largely a lurker and have been since before my wedding last year. The boards have little enough content, and the articles on TN are just pathetic.
I do think it's silly to try and prevent adults from cursing on a public message board. I don't get the reasoning at all. People will just find ways to get around the censors to get their point across anyway.
