Netflix Streaming Question
Is there any other way to just browse through movies or shows besides the ones Netflix thinks i would be interested in? The only other option I've seen is if I actually type in the name of the movie or show I want.
On a side note, does anyone else think Netflix streaming sucks? The only thing I've found so far that I wanted to watch are Vampire Diaries, Sons of Anarchy and Mad Men.

You can search by genre. I think it's on the main screen right above tv shows. The movies are broken down by action, drama, comedy, horror, etc and then broken down into subcategories (political thriller, spy thriller, action thriller, etc).
We love Netflix for the shows and documentaries. The mainstream movie selection is limited but we've found decent indie and foreign films.
We watched all of Mad Men and Breaking Bad. We're now watching the newer Sherlock Holmes tv series (which I'm loving!) and then we're starting Doctor Who. I think Dexter and The Walking Dead will be the shows we get into next.
Our screen only shows like 10 movies/shows per genre. That's it. I'll have to keep playing with it.
Also Dexter is my all time favorite show. Love it. The books are really good too and very different plots than the show so watching before you read won't mess you up.
Re: Dexter and The Walking Dead. Netflix only has season 1 of The Walking Dead for streaming (we've been waiting a year for them to post more seasons!) and Dexter is not available for streaming, only discs. We've had the same Dexter disc sitting by our TV waiting to be returned for months (we're awful). It used to be available for streaming, but they stopped last summer (as far as I know!).

Hmmm... Dexter shows up as an option on the tv series screen for us and I believe DH put it in our queue. I'll have to check that when I get home.
ETA: I just got home and checked (priorities!) and it shows up on the tv show screen but it's not an option to add it. DH is going to be upset!
I really love Netflix streaming. However, I either use the Netflix app on my iPad (typically when I'm straightening my hair, which takes forevverrrr) or on our wi-fi enabled TV (which is pretty darn awesome).
You can definitely browse by category. Some other TV show recommendations that I have loved watching in the past (though not 100 percent sure these are all still on streaming): Monk, The Walking Dead, Greek, Bones, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, Frasier (currently watching this from start to finish), Jericho and Weeds. If you've never watched Grey's Anatomy, I think that's on there. Other shows that look like are one there that I've enjoyed over the years -- Lost (just steel yourself for a terrible ending), Pretty Little Liars, Desperate Housewives, How I met your mother.
I still want to watch Prison Break, Rescue Me, and Buffy. I clearly watch way too much TV.
