Cake
I am baking a cake for my best friend's wedding shower and I need good flavor ideas. What is everybody's favorite? I figured I'd post this cause it's been such a crappy day in CA, and cake makes me happy

i'm not a big fan of plain white cakes, but i like dark chocolate ones, and cakes with fruit on them (or in the filling) like raspberries or strawberries.
Maybe a vanilla cake with Bavarian creme filling and rasberries/strawberries covered in home made whipped cream sweetened with powdered sugar? You can whip Pastry Pride (Smart n' Final) into a very light but not overpowering cream. It's not as sweet or heavy as fondant.
You can decorate the cake with fresh roses.
