What brand do you have? We haven't had ours for even two months yet and they have a whole in them! I'm so upset because they are the best sheets ever! Or, so I thought.
Ours were the Palais Royale sheets from BB&B. I guess I will be taking them back this weekend.

Re: Sheets
We have Vera Wang sheets from Kohls- love them.
Sorry yours have a hole! That stinks!
What thread count? That can make a huge difference.
Do you really think that a store is going to take back sheets you've had for 2 months?
I second the Mainstays Wal*Mart brand.

We rotate with the Jersey Knit sheets, Mainstays brand and Hotel Collection 800 Thread Count from Macys.
Also, a quick google on the brand you got shows crap reviews. In fact, someone on Aug 2nd wrote about getting them as a wedding gift and there being holes.

kissing on the foreskin? i mean, forehead.
I was thinking more along the lines of...clip your goddamn toenails!
is that in 50 shades?
Sheets can also rip pretty quickly if you're not washing them frequently enough. The threads get stretched and worn, and washing can revive the weave a bit.
We have 300 count sheets from a bunch of different brands and have never had an issue, aside from H ruining them by getting them stuck in the vacuum. YES BECAUSE HE VACUUMS THE BED. H's favorites are from LL Bean.
I've bought a lot of cheap jersey sheets from Target in my lifetime and never had a problem.
Vacuuming the sheets!? How innovative. I will have to try that!

have you had them on for entire 2 months? try rotating them with some others
we have royal velvet & pure beech from BB&B and some others from Macy's I am blanking on and haven't had any problems.
Dirty "whole"y sheets... If somebody tried to return those to my store after 2 months, I'd say HELL NAW!!
We have Peacock Alley sheets that I got from One Kings Lane. They were originally $500+ sheets and I got them for $170 (and wish I had gotten at least 3 sets, not just one). I'm constantly on the lookout for another OKL deal.
They are so soft and amazing (and monogrammed on the pillowcases!) I'm the most pickiest sheet person ever, so I took a huge risk ordering them online. I have super sensitive skin and most sheets make my skin crawl.
I think that Target has some good sheets too, though. They have some for their Target Home line that are super soft (or something like that) and their Thomas O'Brien aren't too bad either.

FYI, once you get above 400 thread count, companies are double counting thread.
See: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/08/garden/08shop.html
?Once you get beyond 400 threads per square inch, be suspicious.? The standard for counting is to add each warp (vertical) and filling (horizontal) thread per square inch. The most that normally fits, he said, is 400, after which the threads are thinner and weaker. Some companies use two- or three-ply threads and multiply the count. ?An 800-thread-count sheet made of two-ply yarn should legitimately be relabeled as 400,? he said. ?That?s how you get 1,000 threads per square inch: creative counting.?
@daria next time H vacuum's the sheets can you please post a picture? I find this rather hysterical! lol
as for sheet brands.. I wondering how the heck you all know the brands of your sheets? I don't know have clue nor do I even remember where we got them. I think most of them just came from a "bed in a bag" ... needless to say none of ours have holes in them though and they are several years old.

That is really good to know, thanks! I always go by feel rather than thread count, but the higher thread counts often do feel better (softer, more supple). Ours are 500, but they're literally the softest, nicest sheets I have ever slept on. I'll be keeping this in mind for future purchases, though...
@Cville: Sneaky creative accounting!
And by vacuuming the sheets, I don't mean he pulls out the attachments. I mean he LIFTS THE ACTUAL VACUUM onto the bed and pushes it back and forth. He usually vacuums when I'm not at home, but I'll try to sneak a pic.
this is even better!!! I just assumed he would be using the attachments!

So, he vacuums the floor then hoists it up onto the bed sheets? That seems counter-productive for some reason!
And yes, I'm gonna need a picture of that! :-)

We have Wamsutta 500 Damask sheets from BBB and we love them so far. We also have Pure Beech Jersey Knit sheets from BBB. I love them, but H isn't a big fan of t-shirt sheets.
BBB's return policy is amazing. They will take anything back at any time, with or without a receipt, and it doesn't matter how long you've had it. I would definitely take them back.
BB&B has a great return policy.
The hole is in the side of the sheets, and it looks like it is just wear and tear, but they shouldn't be wearing and tearing this soon. I intend to take them back.
They are 630 thread count. My H picked them out. I picked a pair of Vera Wang sheets from Kohl's but we didn't get those. I had a pair from Target that ripped down the middle because they were so crappy. So, I won't get sheets from Target.
I loved my jersey knit sheets before H and I got a queen. Maybe I will look for a pair of those.
