Anybody's kid have a plantar wart? I noticed dd looks like she has one, which I didn't expect! Although I battled with them a lot when I was younger though not that young. Can I just do at home stuff to get rid of it or see dr first? I am hesitant to try to get rid of it. When I have had them every time I get rid of 1 another would appear. If I leave them alone it eventually goes away. Not to mention they are really hard to get rid of. I know they have the freeze stuff now but i dont think it works well for plantar warts.
But dd has been complaining of it hurting so I also don't want to leave it. I guess I'll probably end up calling her pedi but just wondering if anybody else has dealt with it.
Re: Warts and kids
I would call the doctor and see what they suggest. I got rid of a big one on my foot with the home freezing thing, but I had to cut/dig out all the wart/dead skin and treat it more often than they suggested to get it to actually work.
I have gotten rid of warts on my fingers with apple cider vinegar. Trimmed away the excess dead skin, then put some of the ACV onto a small piece of cotton and wrapped a bandaid around it. Changed it out every day or so. it turns the wart black and eventually dies.
That's all you do? Is use Apple Cider Viegar on a cotton ball? I'll have to try this..
I've had to go the the derm for these before( on hands and feet) and they froze them first, and them gave me this compound medicine to put on at night before bed and then cover with duct tape. The stuff seriously burns, burns, burns.
We're Married!! And I couldn't be happier!
