Inside or balcony cabin on Carnival Dream to W. Carib.
I am taking DH on a surprise 50th birthday cruise with a bunch of our friends on the Carnival Dream n May 2013. Currently I have us in an inside cabin. We had a balcony through Alaska and a balcony on our cruise to the E. Med. in a couple of weeks. Would you upgrade to a balcony for a cruise to Belize, Honduras, Costa Maya and Cozumel? Help ...

What's the price difference?
You have to decide what is more valuable to you, the balcony or spending the money elsewhere?
We have stayed in interior rooms and would continue to do that unless the price difference was really small. We would much rather spend money on nicer excursions, food, drinks, or an extra day or two in FL before the cruise, etc.
It depends on what you want. Like pp would you rather have the extra money for fun stuff (if the difference in price is large)?
I feel that if the cruise is not long enough it is not worth a balcony room. We are going on a short cruise so we went with the interior cabin. Would much rather spend the money saved on the short trip spending money on other things.
Yep, ditto! I'm pro-balcony as well, lol!
you're right. i'm a balcony girl. i've done the inside thing and wasn't a fan. room serviced breakfast on the balcony (not a fan of thebuffet), in the evening when DH is showering, at nigth wtih a glass of wine after dinner-it doesn't matter. it's an awesome way to extend your room. i dont see the 'spend it here or spend it there' part like balcony vs. drinks or excursions. why does it have to be either or? do both!! she's got over a year to plan/save/spend-do it up right!!! and it's a 50th birthday!
Excellent choice! Best $400 you'll ever spend, you'll see!
