While it's sad that this board is slow, I do not miss this board's old dynamic.  So many of them were rude, holier than thou, "You mean you didn't make roast rack of lamb with balsamic reduction for dinner last night? You're lower than the dirt on my shoe."  I'll gladly take a few average, nice posters over the gourmet snobs that were here before.  I'm not sure when you posted over here - the gourmet snobs appeared within the last 2 years or so; before then, it was a pretty normal place.

I was a semi regular over here as I never felt like they were snobs. OP I miss it too. I also don't follow anyone's blogs anymore since they stopped posting updates. I especially miss seeing everyone's meal plans for the week. It always helped me make our plan.

There's a few blog updates here daily, but I wish there were more.  (I post mine but I'm lucky if I post 1-2 times a month).  We could start a weekly menu post- someone's going to have to start posting something in order to get this place moving again.  I'll start a thread and post mine, hopefully others will follow.

Agreed. I'm a gal from way back, and I stopped coming because... well, life happens. But when I wanted to come back I was turned off by all the "blog updates" posts. No one was recipe swapping any more, it was all "go to my blog" or "in my blog i have..." Kinda turned me off.

I miss it too! I was a pretty regular poster AWHILE back, then as PP said "life happened" so I haven't really had as much time to plan meals, etc... so I stopped posting, but I have always stalked

So make it what you want it to be - there are enough people here to make it awesome again if that's what you want. Over the years regulars have come and gone, but that's the nature of these boards. 

re: pp ....Holier than thou? Huh. I was on What's Cooking from the beginning (when it was called What's for Dinner) and rarely saw that. Compared to other nest boards, I think we were a pretty great community. Sure we had a controversial thread now and then, but what board doesn't have any drama?
