Bought a house!!!
Ok so I posted last week I think about how do you know when a house is "the one" and it seemed like we were NEVER going to find a house at that point, but we found a house! We put in the offer last night and today we accepted their counter-offer! It's just the cutest little house, in the cutest neighborhood, and I couldn't be more excited! Even the paint colors are pretty much exactly what I would want myself!
Some highlights: jacuuzi (sp?) tub in the master bathroom, finished basement, updated kitchen & baths, and a little deck! The things that need work: there are bushes all over the place in the front & the back, I definitely would want them pulled up for next year; we also would probably expand/redo the deck - as it stands there is a small deck, small patio, and another small stoned off area for a fire-pit. It seems a little confusing so on the one hand the little deck is a bonus that we didn't need to have but I'd prefer it to be a little different.
I just want to say thank you for all the encouragement, it definitely put me in a more positive frame of mind when we went back out to look at the last round of houses on Monday!
